The Quad City Symphony Orchestra takes very seriously its mission to inspire, entertain, and engage the Quad City community through superb symphonic music, music education, and cultural leadership.  While all Quad Citizens are welcome at all QCSO performances, there is no more important constituency than our areas student population.  Throughout its 104-year history, the QCSO has really focused on educating and engaging QC area students through a variety of different vehicles.

news-studentsIn Season 104, the Quad City Symphony has unveiled a new initiative to enhance the Masterworks concert experience for its youngest attendees. Youth Program books will now be available to all young concertgoers, especially for those students who attend as a part of our Students @ Symphony program.

Students @ Symphony is a program that invites local school music groups to attend Masterworks concerts free of charge. Included in the youth program books are program notes written with students in mind, QCSO musician and local educator profiles, concert etiquette tips, and a comic entitled “Masterpets” that uses animals to tell inside stories about classical music and the musicians that perform the music.
