Masterworks III: English Serenade

Traverse the English countryside with Edward Elgar’s sonorous and pastoral Serenade for Strings. Principal Horn Marc Zyla makes his QCSO soloist debut with the robust fanfares of Richard Strauss’s Horn Concerto No. 1, followed by Benjamin Britten’s stirring and virtuosic Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings, with Karim Sulayman. This spirited program closes with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s bold and exuberant “Linz” Symphony.

If transmission rates are moderate or low in both Scott and Rock Island counties according to the CDC COVID Data Tracker, masks will be optional for vaccinated individuals and strongly recommended for unvaccinated individuals.
Facial coverings must be worn properly, covering the nose and mouth. Patrons arriving without appropriate face coverings will be provided with a disposable face mask.
