Dress Code:
Dress II: Semi-Formal – All Black – default for Masterworks concerts except opening weekend and other non-Masterworks concerts as specified.

  • Classy black suit, collared black long-sleeved shirt, with a solid black long tie OR
  • All black full-length dress with long or 3/4 length sleeves that do not rise above the elbow while performing OR
  • All black full-length skirt; with black dressy top with same sleeves as above OR
  • All black, dressy or tailored formal pants or black pantsuit; with black dressy top with same sleeves as above.
  • Solid black calf or knee-length socks or black full-length or knee-high stockings in sheer or opaque hosiery (no pattern/no fishnet) with dressy black shoes.

Compensation:

  • Payment for all artistic services as well as per diem, hotel reimbursement, and mileage reimbursement will be rendered via direct deposit within 7 business days following the concert cycle.
  • Payment for reimbursement will be made only upon successful submission of completed expense vouchers by the musicians and should be submitted at the completion of the final service, or within 1 business day following a concert cycle.
  • Expense vouchers will be available at all orchestral services and can be submitted online via email.
  • Musicians living more than 50 miles outside of the Quad City area (based on Google Maps) will be given a $13 meal per diem on service days where no meal is provided.

Music:

  • Musicians may take original parts and the black folders with them after each rehearsal. (You are responsible for returning the folder and music in the condition in which it was given to you.)
  • Copies of the Star Spangled Banner should be left in the black QCSO folders, in the pocket on the left side.
  • Please place all music inside the mailing envelope in which you received your music, and leave the envelope on your stand.
  • Please be courteous to our music librarian, Matt Kowalczyk, and do your best to return the music in concert order.
  • ​All music, including photocopies, must be returned at the conclusion of all services.

Parking:
There is no reserved parking for QCSO musicians during Masterworks cycles.
Most musicians find luck with on-street parking around the venues or:

  • Adler Theatre: The Davenport Public Library Lot on the corner of Brady and 4th Streets.
  • Centennial Hall: all Augustana college parking lots
  • BPAC: Parking Map will be sent the week of the concert.

Complimentary Tickets:
Every QCSO musician is entitled to 1 complimentary ticket to 1 performance of any Masterworks or Pops set. Complimentary tickets must be ordered online, prior to the day of the performance on the QCSO website, www.qcso.org. Use the discount code, QCSOMUS100, at checkout and the ticket the price will be adjusted. (SINGLE TICKETS, ONLINE ONLY)
