January 5, 2019 @ 7:30 pm CST

signature-event-Ravel-&-Debussy

Tonal and harmonic gradation is one of many similarities drawn between the work of Ravel and Debussy. Debussy was an influential composer of the late 19th early 20th centuries. After his death in 1918, Ravel became widely recognized as France’s leading composer. Between 1920-1924 Ravel wrote works which gave homage to his predecessors, which includes work he dedicated to Debussy’s memory. (from AllMusic.com)
