From the moment their bows hit the strings, this quintet of talented, diverse musicians will take you on an exciting ride that engages the senses and redefines the rules. "[Sybarite5] excelled at the exquisite...[playing] with relish, a sense of comfort, and a frisson of missionary zeal" (The Washington Post). Their five-track EP disc, Disturb the Silence, features music by Radiohead and Piazzolla–plus two original works written for the quintet–and made its debut at number 11 on Billboard's Classical Crossover chart. Sybarite5 is also being considered for a GRAMMY nomination in the areas of Album of the Year, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Recording Package, and Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance.
Sybarite5 will be touring Quad City schools during the week as participants in the Quad City Arts Visiting Artist series. During their week-long residency, Sybarite5 will visit 15 schools and other outreach sites.
