Masterworks IV: Where In The World
February 6, 2021 @ 7:30 pm CST
Travel the world with beloved compositions inspired by journeys to foreign lands. We begin on Italy’s Mediterranean shores with Elgar’s colorful concert overture In the South and further explore the Tuscan countryside in Mendelssohn’s joyful and energetic “Italian” Symphony. Dance through Latin America with the rumba in Gershwin’s thrilling Cuban Overture and William Grant Still’s Danzas de Panama inspired by Panamanian folk tunes. Our tour concludes in Spain with Ravel’s beguiling and brilliant Rapsodie espagnole.
Tickets currently available as part of Masterworks Subscriptions or as an add on to QCSO at the Movies Subscriptions only. Single tickets will be available for purchase beginning May 15, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.
