No symphonic exploration would be complete without the German and Austrian masters. The swirling themes of Mozart’s beaming overture to The Marriage of Figaro will lead us plunging into Beethoven’s fiery and high-spirited Symphony No. 4. QCSO Concertmaster Naha Greenholtz solos in Mendelssohn’s final orchestral work, the dramatic Violin Concerto. We close out the program in a spectacular display of orchestral brilliance with Hindemith’s rhythmic and thrilling Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes by Carl Maria von Weber.
